The Apartments are an addition to the original 1920's main house and are not adapted for wheelchair disability. There is a small step (6 inches) at the front entrance to a lobby leading to the doors of each self-contained apartment.

GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT:
This is otherwise free from steps except one (6 inches) out from the lounge to the patio. The ground floor bedroom is large and contains 2 X 3 feet twin beds, side by side. The bathroom is adjacent and the bath has an overhead shower. The separate kitchen leads on to the lounge.

UPSTAIRS APARTMENT:
The staircase to this apartment is rather narrow (27 inches to 35 inches width) with a 90 degree turn half-way up. Once negotiated however, visitors are impressed with the accommodation. The bedroom leads on to a spacious verandah (10 X 21 feet) accessed down 2 steps (6 and 7 inches) from the bedroom. The verandah is bounded by a secure glass railing and affords pleasant views and sunbathing facilities. The bed width is 4 feet 6 inches, and the bathroom is en-suite with bath and overhead shower.

A Tesco's store and petrol station which is open daily 24 hours (except for the usual week-end restrictions), is 0.8 miles away, and opposite to a family friendly pub/restaurant. Bursledon Rail station is a few miles along the A27 and Southampton (Parkway) Airport station is a 20 minute (excluding rush hour) drive along the M27. There is no public bus service passing Pinewood Lodge, but bus-stops approx. 0.8 mile distant have a frequent service to and from the City.
